A energetic team of warm, friendly, fun and imaginative staff. Our experienced staff have been a part of our OSHC team for over 18 years.
Our service offers both Before and After School Care programs running from Parkside Primary School campus for students from Parkside P.S. and St. Raphael’s P.S. and Grove Kindergarten.
Our Vacation Care program is open to all children across Adelaide for children aged between 4 and 14 years. Our service offers a wide range of excursions and centre based activities utilising the campus ovals and recreation centre.
Our staff are well trained, experienced and dedicated to caring for every child’s unique needs.
The aim of our program is to provide a safe, engaging and relaxed environment for children. It is designed to meet the recreational and social needs of all the children in our care. Opportunities to develop skills, to learn and continue educational activities related to school are provided in this context.
What to expect on the first day
If your child is in reception and new to the school one of the staff members will collect them from their classroom at the end of the school day and brought across to the play room, in the Oliphant Building.
Children are shown where to put their bags and introduced to all staff members. The daily routine will be explained to them, they are shown where to have a drink, where the toilets are and where to wash their hands. They will be paired up with a friend they know or someone of the same age group to play with for the night.
Expectations of children
It is expected that all children will be respectful of the staff members, other children, the equipment and their surroundings.
Children are encouraged to, but not forced to participate in all activities.
Programming
Programming is done in consultation with the children on a daily basis, with the weekly menu and list of activities displayed on the white board in the play room.
Vacation care is programmed approximately five weeks prior to the holidays starting. Educators spend two hours per week planning developmentally appropriate activities for the children and evaluating the program.
The needs of the individual children are catered for whilst considering the atmosphere of the group as a whole.
Our facilities
The large school campus provides many versatile areas for all weather activities.
There is a grass oval, gymnasium, cricket nets, a large tree and shaded play areas as well as versatile open plan areas designed to provide comfort and relaxation.
Indoors there is a tabled seating area for projects and activities as well as a piano and kitchen facilities.

Our OSHC team is also an ongoing supporter for their Ugandan Project.
The children have fundraised to build 6 classrooms for the children of Lugongwe in Uganda. The school has grown from 75 to 500 children in just three years.
OSHC children continue to support the children in Uganda by holding cake stalls and toy stalls to raise money to buy school books, pens, pencils and sporting equipment for the start of each school year.
