Our toddlers' room provides an intimate environment allowing the children to build trusting relationships in a caring, fun, safe and nurturing environment.
During this developmental stage our Educators enjoy creating engaging and challenging experiences following the Early Years Learning Framework. Within the Early Years Learning Framework there are three basic concepts that children’s lives are characterized by. They are Belonging, Being and Becoming.
This refers to how a child from even before birth is linked to family, community, culture and place. Through these relationships a child’s development and learning takes place as they begin to explore, develop interests, create their own identity and make meaning to the world around them. The three concepts, Belonging, Being & Becoming, represent life and living and are constantly referred to throughout the EYLF.
The Early Years Learning Framework describes the principles, practices and outcomes that support and enhance young children's learning from birth to five years of age, as well as their transition to school. The Framework is a key component of the Australian Government's National Quality Framework for early childhood education and care. Each early childhood service develops their own strategy to implement the Framework.
We often organise outside play with the kindy room children which enables the children to develop their social skills and become comfortable with other children over an extended period of time.
A wide variety of activities are organised to suit each child’s interests and abilities. We seek to make sure each child is challenged and stimulated whilst achieving a sense of satisfaction and fulfilment.
Our Educators follow the sleep and rest routines developed in consultation with parents and caregivers.
We have plenty of different play and learning spaces in the back yard.
