TODDLER ROOM

In our Toddler Room are budding learners, keen discoverers, and increasingly independent 2- to 3-year-olds.

Our Space

Inside the Toddler Room, we offer a spacious and inviting environment filled with age-appropriate resources. The room features a home corner, a quiet reading area, and a dedicated art and creative space where children can explore and express themselves. Experiences are carefully designed to build on each child’s developmental milestones and are based on their individual interests and experiences. Children are encouraged to take responsibility for their space by tidying up after activities before engaging in new ones, fostering a sense of respect for their environment and self-regulation.

Fostering Growth

Our Toddler Room is designed for children aged 2 to 3 years, with a thoughtfully maintained educator-to-child ratio of 1:5, ensuring each child receives personalized attention and care. To foster a sense of responsibility and independence, each child is provided with their own named locker, which not only helps them manage their belongings but also prepares them for name recognition as they transition to the Kindy Room at age 3.

Toilet Training

Our educators are here to help families through the transition from nappies to underwear and make it as smooth a process as possible. The Centre’s main nappy change area includes a child-sized toilet, enabling us to seamlessly cater to children at all stages of their toilet training journey.

Our larger bathroom space offers child-sized toilets in open cubicles to offer older children privacy and encourage their growing sense of autonomy.

Nature Play

The Toddler Room shares a large, vibrant outdoor area that provides endless opportunities for exploration and play. With a spacious sandpit, a mud kitchen, garden jungle, climbing areas, a creek bed, and a veggie garden, children can engage with nature and develop their physical and cognitive skills. Additional outdoor activities include riding wheeled toys, playing with balls, engaging in creative arts, and enjoying water play. The outdoor space also features a sheltered area where children can enjoy meals and play comfortably, regardless of the weather.
